Located just blocks south of the town center, directly under “Bob the Bridge” on Avon Road, Avon’s new Whitewater Park is 350 feet in length. Winterhawk Dogsled Adventures

Winterhawk Dogsled Adventures offers a memorable experience in the Vail Valley, fun for groups of friends and families. They have multiple tours to choose from, you can snuggle under the blanket and let an experienced guide do all the work or get on the runners and drive the sled. This tour requires no experience and no specific level of fitness. They offer an adventure tour which is run at their remote cabin site at the foot of two of Colorado's highest peaks. Youth Sports Camp

Vail Youth Sports Camps are put on by the Vail Recreation District and they each provide an opportunity to develop new skills and refine existing talents in sports such as baseball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, tennis, soccer, martial arts and more. Each experience is different, depending on which camp your child chooses they may be coached by an NBA All-Star, All-Pro Sydney Moncrief, or hockey by Bob Johnson, taught by professional soccer coaches from England, or attend a more laid back style one that focuses on getting the basic skills down without pressure. They offer a wide variety of options ranging from one day to one week, but be warned, they all fill up quickly. These are great if you're visiting the area in the summer and want to make sure your child has fun and makes friends.

Located just 15 miles outside of Vail, Zip Adventures is the place to go for fun with friends or family. This locally owned zip line tour company pffers 6 different zip lines that even cross over the Colorado mountain river. The longest zip line they offer is over 1000 feet while you can soar 200 feet above the river. The operators also share their knowledge on flowers, fauna and wildlife surrounding the area.
