What to Do

Inspired and later created by Howard Stone over 20 years ago, Vail Jazz started off as a vision to bring jazz and the Colorado lifestyle together. After many successful attempts, Vail Jazz was created as an organization dedicated to the perpetuation of jazz music with a specific emphasis on young musicians and young audiences. As of today, this organization holds annual summer festivals that span over 12 weeks and entertain over 50,000 people. If Jazz music is what is needed to spice up the time in Vail, Vail Jazz is the way to go.
